Mesh Automation and Modification

Learn about new automated mesh creation and edit tools allowing you to quickly create the block topology you need.

  • Creating new blocks quickly based on internal topology with Build Blocks.
  • Creating new grid topology quickly with Draw Shapes.
  • Splitting unstructured blocks to isolate T-Rex layers.

Mesh Diagnostics

Discover a host of new Examine capabilities and as well as additional miscellaneous additions and changes to Pointwise’s feature set.

  • Monitoring key diagnostics with the widely requested new Examine persistent cuts feature.
  • Using new Examine Filters to isolate diagnostic ranges and picking cut locations.
  • Importing grid from solver formats via the new Plugin SDK for grid import.
Overset data is displayed on a Persistent Cut for the ESAV.

Local Coordinates, Instancing, and Top-Down Meshing

Learn how to create mesh topology quickly and how to manage multibody overset meshes easily in independent meshing frameworks.

  • Top-down block creation, including the new voxel block type, using Build Blocks.
  • Managing your complex mesh systems with Frameworks and associated tools.
  • Using attachment points to easily transform Frameworks with respect to each other.

Advanced Mesh Diagnostics and Refinement

Get up to speed on all of the new Examine capabilities intended to facilitate your interrogation and management of complex grids.

  • Viewing overset cutting data quickly with persistent cuts.
  • Fine-tuning your mesh diagnostics with Filters.
  • Obtaining extensive examine data via the enhanced cell/point probe.
  • Generating cloud sources to refine your overset blocks exactly where you need.
