Description

At the top of the Adapt tab you will find a table of blocks in the system with columns showing whether the block is structured or unstructured, how many points the block contains, and how many cells. You can select the blocks in this table to determine which blocks will be adapted. This adaption will use any currently enabled sources for the selected blocks. By default sources are created for fringes or orphans as a product of the assembly process. Automatic source creation is set up on the Assemble tab. Source use for individual blocks can be manged using the Size Field tab of the Solve command for the particular block type being adapted. Effectively this adaption should generally be able to alleviate areas where poor clustering produces orphan points.

The adapt tab provides tools to allow adapt ion of the selected blocks to fringe, hole or orphan points.

For structured blocks you set the number of Iterations you wish to solve and adapt the blocks. When all settings are made, click Adapt to run the solver on the selected blocks. Results are saved automatically when exiting from the Overset command and can be viewed via Examine. Keep in mind that adaption changes the overlap clustering of your respective blocks and they will need to be run through your assembler again using Run on the Assemble tab in order to have the holes, fringes and orphans recalculated.
