Pointwise wants you to share your meshing achievements with the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) community. We are seeking presenters for the Pointwise User Group Meeting on 29-30 October 2014 in Anaheim, California. This meeting will be an opportunity for you to share your experience using Pointwise and to hear how others are using the software. Also, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary, so this year's user group meeting will be extra special.
In addition to giving you the opportunity to show off your work, participating in the Pointwise User Group Meeting has other benefits. You can spend a day in Pointwise training with our expert technical support engineers, hear about our future product plans, and network with CFD colleagues from around the world. As an added bonus for our anniversary year, fees will be waived for the training seminar and general session.
Presentations at the 2013 Pointwise User Group Meeting included applications ranging from scripting the meshing process for Kaplan runners, to meshing for aerodynamic studies on a landspeed record contender, to jet noise prediction. Meshing research papers also have been presented at past events.
Presentations are 30 minutes long, including the time for questions and answers.
We do not require a formal written paper. A copy of your presentation materials is all we ask.
If you would like to give a presentation, please submit by 18 July a brief abstract (500 words or less) describing CFD or similar computational work for which Pointwise was used for meshing. Abstracts may be submitted in plain text, Microsoft Word, or PDF formats and should be emailed to ugm@pointwise.com. Please be sure to include your contact information in the email.
We hope you will join us for this milestone 20th anniversary commemoration.
