[August 2006] Unless you generate grids simply for the sheer thrill of meshing, you're probably exporting your grids from Gridgen to other applications. We wanted to know which file formats you use to do that. Your answers are shown below.

Even though IGES received the most votes, we suspect from comments on your survey forms that it is used for database import and export, not surface grid export. (Remember, the survey was about grid file formats not database file formats.)

One interesting fact is that of the 86 surveys received, the average number of file formats used at a site is slightly over 5. That tells us that folks are using Gridgen for a wide variety of applications and with a large number of software products.
