Import Geometry for CFD Meshing with Gridgen's Native CAD Readers

Native CAD Readers are able to read CAD data direclty into Gridgen from its native format without using a CAD system license. If you'd like to eliminate neutral files from your analysis process or if you'd like to avoid a potential source of translation error, try adding a Native CAD Reader to your Gridgen.

Gridgen's Native CAD Readers currently support:

• CATIA^® Version 4 (version 4.2.4 and earlier)
• CATIA^® Version 5 (version R18 and earlier)
• Pro/ENGINEER^® Versions 18, 19, 20, 2000, 2000i, 2000i2, 2001, Wildfire, Wildfire 2, Wildfire 3, Wildfire 4
• Siemens PLM Software^® (formerly Unigraphics) NX (versions 15 through NX 5)
• STEP AP203 and AP214

The Native CAD Readers supplement Gridgen's built-in capability to import geometry via IGES, wireframes, and faceted formats (e.g. STL, VRML).
