The main purpose of this three-day seminar will be to familiarize non-programmers with this powerful programming suite, the basis of Gridgen's Glyph scripting language. A nominal fee is anticipated which will include meals and course material. August 31 - September 2, 2005 Pointwise Headquarters Fort Worth, TX Seating will be limited. For more information, contact Pointwise's Manager of Customer Support, John Deur, at 888-GRIDGEN or jdeur@pointwise.com. ************************************************************************ 5) Changes to Gridgen Hardware/OS Support There are changes in the works to Gridgen's line-up of supported platforms and operating systems. *** MS Windows Effective immediately, support for Microsoft Windows will be limited to the XP and 2000 operating systems. This does not mean that Gridgen will necessarily cease to function on older Microsoft OS's. However, Pointwise will no longer test and support Gridgen on them. *** HP-UX Gridgen will cease support for HP-UX 10.20 on PA-RISC, effective 01 July 2005. Gridgen’s HP-UX support on PA-RISC will be upgraded to HP-UX 11.11. Gridgen’s support for HP-UX 11.23 on Itanium is unaffected by this announcement. *** Other OS's Other changes affecting Sun, Compaq/DEC, IBM, and SGI platforms will commence in October, 2005. A variety of scripts are available for immediate download. Each script has its own page with a detailed description of what it does, including screen shots if the script uses a GUI. Sample files for testing the scripts are available too. What's even more exciting is that we want to add your scripts to the collection. If you have developed a script that you think will benefit the Gridgen community, look for the Upload A Script button on the web site. You can cycle through the saved entries using the up/down arrows on the Arrow pad between the Num pad and primary keys on the keyboard. Also, you can move the cursor left and right in the text entry field using the left/right arrow keys on the same Arrow pad.
